It Still Fits

I was cleaning out Evan's 0-3 month clothes on Sunday and was choosing some things to put in his "keep" box. Anyway, I came across the outfit that we brought Alex home from the hospital in. It was a Premie outfit with a very cute hat. So, I called Alex in to show it to him and then placed it in my keep pile. A little bit later, Alex yells, "Mom, it still fits!" When I walked into the living room, this is what I saw...

Looks more like some kind of gangster hat than a newborn baby hat. Alex always seems to make me laugh!

Mmmmm...Yummy!

So, we tried Mr. Evan out on cereal this past weekend. At first he was not so sure...

But by the end of the meal, he decided it was yummy and very fun to play with! We were both sticky and covered in rice cereal. Straight to the tub for him :)

It is Official...Evan IS the BIG, little Brother

So, our precious Evan turned four months old last Saturday. Wow, it is so hard for me to believe that a year ago last Wednesday (April 16th) we found out Evan was on his way! What a wonderful, amazing day that was!!!

Anyway, Gary and I took him to the pediatrician for his check-up yesterday. Evan weighed in at 16 lbs and 2 ozs and was 25.25 inches long! He is in the 75th percentile for both height and weight! He is too cute with his pudginess! At this same age, Alex was the same length and 14 lbs 8 ozs, so Gary refers to Evan as "the BIG, little brother."

Here are some pictures from last week, too!

My boys...I LOVE this one.

My sweet, happy four-month old! I love you, Evan :)

Kite Flying

Gary took these pics of Alex flying his kite. I loved them and thought I would share with all of you!

Sick AGAIN on Easter

So, I don't know what it is about Easter weekend, but Alex who has the immune system of steel over 90% of the time is ALWAYS sick on Easter. Luckily, this year it was just a sinus infection. Last year at this time he had the rota virus and the year before it was ear infections that led to his tonsillectomy. That being said, we will take the sinus infection and go with that!

GiGi and Grandad came to visit. We colored eggs and had a great time with them. No big egg hunts or anything because of the sickness and rainy weather.

Alex's Future Profession

So, I had to go up to work on Thursday to give a test to my on-line class. I promised Alex that I would pick him up from school and that we would run a few errands and then go to McDonald's. For those of you who know Alex, he LOVES McDonald's. And we are not just talking the food. It is the excitement of seeing what wonderful plastic toy is coming up next so that he can start his plan, along with his co conspirator, Grandad, on how to collect them all! Alex is definitely a collector :)

Well, we order his Happy Meal, and he pays with his Arch Card that he got from my grandparents for his birthday. Then, he picks out the perfect table for us. As we are sitting at our table, he starts to eat his dinner and gets a very excited look on his face. He says, "Mom, you know what would be really awesome?" Of course I ask him what would be so awesome. Then he replies, "When you and I both grow bigger, we can work at McDonald's and make the food for the Happy Meals!" I was cracking up inside, but I assured him that would be really awesome.

I will have to remind him at sixteen that once his ambition in life was to be a short-order fry cook! Although, he has said from the age of two he wants to be a doctor. Guess we will see!
